The digital transformation of government is a key element to the success of the Single Market; helping to remove existing digital barriers, reduce administrative burdens and improve the quality of interactions with government. Moreover, e-government has a potential to reduce corruption at the public and private sector and its positive effects on corruption fighting have been seen in many countries. EDDA is following the EU eGovernment Action Plan 2016-2020 to advocate for efficient, user-friendly end-to-end digital public services within and outside the EU.
